There are awnings shaped sort of that way in back patio.
Yes, Mopho is open today
Yes, we are. We'll be here until 10pm.
No, Sir. We only do Happy Hour Monday though Friday.
Either way. It's worth it. 👍
Delicious, creative dishes. And I like the place. However, there always seems to be a group of snarky hostess-like staff at the lecturn. They might stop a personal conversation long enough to seat you, but don't expect warmth or kindness. Once you get past those unpleasant young women, you will really enjoy it here.
This place is amazing! We went here on a Thursday during holiday season and it was packed to the gills, but the server got us in as fast as she could. Service was a little slow, but given the crowd it didn't bug us. We started with the Chicken Wings (ginger, lemongrass, garlic) which were real winners. We got the pork belly as an entree, which was a bit of a let down after the wings - pork overcooked, rest of the dish was pretty flavorless. Great ambience and friendly staff all around. All in all it's a definite repeat place.
My first time here and the staff is great. The food is great. I wanted to try something new and different. If you feel the same I'd recommend going in and giving it a try. You will not be disappointed with the rich flavorful food they have to offer
Has become a favorite lunch spot for me. Always consistent, good food. Service is polite, attentive and aware. Wines & cocktails are well selected and crafted. A must try if you haven't been.
Love the food and cocktails. Great outdoors seating.
Loved my experience! We had an excellent and extremely accommodating waiter. I certainly hope to return!
I was there on a crowded Friday night. The slender male bartender who was working (1/3/2020) was the rudest ever. We asked 3 times if we could order a drink while we waited and he ignored us. He walked over and took care of polishing dishes instead of taking care of guests. I was a bit embarrassed because I raved about this place to a friend who was in town-- food was good, but bar service was the worst.--update the owner contacted me and was interested in coaching employees to do better-- 100% customer service response-- chaning rating to 5 stars- the food was amazing and the recovery from the owner was better than ever expected.-- THANKS>
Let's be honest, those wings are the things that keep me coming back for more at Mopho. That ginger and spice is so nice! The pork belly bowl is also simply decadent and the sauce they're cooked in is tangy without being overpowered. I also had the pleasure of tasting their (I forget the name of the cocktail), but it complimented the meal well and was deliciously citrusy. Totally recommend (Get those wings!)
A little pricey, but the food is good! Portion size isn't too large nor too small. Service was really good, too. Ordered the daily special consisting of pork, fresh herbs, pickled veggies, and roti ready to be dipped into nước mắm!! The hubz ordered the chicken and waffles. Both were delicious.
This place has some of the best pho I have ever had. It’s on my list of 3 “must eat at” restaurants every time I come down from DC.
THIS PLACE IS THE BOMB!!!! IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THE BEST QUALITY FOOD AT A REASONABLE PRICE THEN YOU MUST EAT HERE!!!!! FULL FRESH HEARTY ASIAN INSPIRED FOOD! NOT PRODUCT, FOOD!!!!! ASK FOR THE YOUNG LADY GRACE TO BE YOUR SERVER!
Had the wings and the cauliflower salad. Both were very good. Probably the best wings in the city.
Their pho, while not authentic, is an interesting Asian-fusion variation. The broth is exceptionally tasty - you can tell the sweetness is from the meat and not from flavor powder/cube. The portion is quite small, but I'm happy with my lunch here :)
Off the hook! The food, the drinks, the dessert, the service...all 5 star! Excellent place to spend our first night in NO! The vindaloo chicken and waffles was terrific. Highly recommend the chicory liquor for dessert.
The chicken and waffles was da bomb!!!I also had the homemade ginger ice cream sandwich with Steven syrup drizzled on top. I can't wait to try the rest of the menu.
Great mix of New Orleans and Vietnamese cuisine. The Crispy Chicken Wings were amazing. The Som Tam Salad was fresh and delicious. We had the spring roll with Pork and they were great. The Glazed Pork Belly Bowl had smoky pork mixed with a nice variety of other flavors. We did have one miss, the blackened beans gumbo special was "a bit too smoky" for us. It really tasted burnt. However our waitress noticed we were not enjoying it and quickly took it away, and removed it from our bill. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I would love to eat here again.
the pomi's were especially good
MOPHO had a great vibe. The patio section had fans to beat the heat w/ plants and nice decor. The food was amazing' the best Pho I've had and the sandwiches took the po'boy and band mi and fused the 2 which was perfect I recommend the duck po mi
So delicious! We started with the Crispy Chicken Wings which were crazy good & easily a meal by themselves. I couldn't get enough of that sauce! The Hangover Pho was the perfect combination of smoky, fatty & just enough mushrooms to keep it from being too overpowering. Make sure to try the Frozen Old Fashioned! Outstanding...but tell them to hold the tapioca pearls... they just don't need to be there.
So good. No idea how they made watermelon and eggplant taste so good together. My friend really enjoyed the banana Bar-B-Q sauce on the pulled duck. Would never have thought of these combinations but they were very tasty.
All I can say is wow the wings were out of this world..I would give 7 stars if I could..the staff was absolutely wonderful as well
My boyfriend and I had a great time! We wrapped up a walk in City Park by Storyland and were looking for something nearby. Very conveniently located. The atmosphere was warm and inviting! The bar was nicely sized. It didn't seem to be too busy considering we stopped in on a Saturday. Our waitress, Victoria, was very accommodating, kind, and knowledgable regarding the menu. We ended up ordering the wings as a starter and split the pork belly bowl with jasmine rice.I was going to order the Guns n' Roses, but being a huge Golden Girls fan, had to order their "Rose Nylund."Check it out!
What a fun and delicious meal! Our server, Josh, was personable and did not steer us wrong in his recommendations. The food was delicious and the drinks were great!
I must say I was a bit taken aback by the menu. I was expecting more legit vietnamese food, but i super loved what i ended up getting. This place is more of a chef's art gallery for this type of food. The vermicelli bowl had depth and flavor and texture that I didn't know was possible. I didn't even want to add any type of sauce to it. Didn't need it. Loved every bite of it. Will be coming back here! The service was super great the entire time too.
Everything I've had here is delicious! I highly recommend the noodle bowls. The outdoor seating is a great spot to hang with friends.
Definitely a great Vietnamese fusion kind of place. I would come back. Make sure to get the wings appetizer.
A wonderful place for friends of mixed diets. there are lots of options. I have gone several times with a group of people with diverse diets including a die hard carnivore, vegans, vegetarians and lactose intolerant. This is one a few places where they can all come together for a delicious meal! A+
Had a great dinner at Mopho. Our server was helpful and recommended some delicious dishes. I usually don't like fusion food but was pleasantly surprised. The roasted cauliflower salad and cure all Po-Mi were my favorites!
Loved the food. Tried Veggie Phò and vindaloo chicken wings was the best! Like that they have fusion of Vietnamese, Asian and Indian food which makes it unique around this area which offers wide range of Vietnamese restaurants. Must try!
Go on the 3rd Saturday of the month for the braised lamb special 🤤🤤🤤 succulent tasty and melt in the mouth. Kudos MOPHO thanks ☺️
Good food and service.
Way overpriced for what you get. Me and my wife shared a app and an entry and drank a couple of beers for lunch and the bill was over 80$. They think they are located in the French quarter for their prices. This may be fine for tourist. But as a local will not be going back. At that price you expect the food to be exceptional but was mediocre. Vietnamese food shouldn't be that expensive in the first. There are a lot better places with better food for a better price.
Delicious fantastic service excellent selections
We had read about Mopho prior to coming to NOLA, particularly the roast pork on Saturdays. I enjoyed the appetizers the most - the slow roasted pork was fall apart and delicious and the chicken wings were flavorful with great texture. The group had other items off the dinner menu as well which were good but didn't quite hit the same mark for us. Our server mentioned the pho could be "hit or miss". Based off our experience, would recommend for drinks and appetizers.
Delicious food. Nice and spicy, good service and atmosphere. Went for lunch with our teenage kids and it was excellent. Interesting variety of dishes.
I always make sure to stop in when I'm in town! Such a great happy hour and the quality of the food and beverages are top notch - so even if you miss happy hour - you are in for a treat!
Good spot to grab a bite. Not your typical or traditional pho spot so don't come here with that mindset. The flavors are there and they always have some specials going on. The serve staff knew the menu well and was very kind and attentive. I ordered two items "their take on sum tum" was fresh but not how I would normally eat it, "chicken wings" now these things were good and plenty to share that would serve 5 people for me and two friends. My main dish was the pumpkin curry and I asked to get some dark chicken added because it was a vegetarian dish. It was really good and full of flavor! I would definitely come back and try a few other things if I'm in New Orleans again and wanted something deterrent and good but if I'm just looking for pho well you know what i mean. Like the name says "MOPHO" i see that as (MOre than PHO!) Oh and plenty or parking!
We haven't received our final food dish and I am already writing a review. Spring rolls were unique and tasty. The peanut dipping sauce was perfect. The red beans with pork belly was...OK...to die for. The Pho is by far one of the best I've tasted. And Gulf shrimp and grits was heavenly. This is now one of my favorite restaurants on the planet
I've been coming here for ages and they have never let me down. The staff has always been warm and lovely, and they have a dynamic menu that brings the best of local and far off flavors in new and exciting ways. Don't be afraid to be adventures because there are no wrong choices here! A great bit of color on the New Orleans culinary portrait.
This is arguably the best pho in the New Orleans area. It is near the City Park area, which permits a day of sightseeing and good eating. The spring rolls are a great starter and the pho options include: building your own pho or choosing from the optional soups on the menu.
I gave them a 2 star rating, because they gave our food to another customer during COVID. The gentleman tables down from us literally had it in front on him, as he was about to indulge in and they told the waiter wrong table. When I told him to take it back, the waitress asked did it touch the table. Of course it did and they bought it to the back and I’m sure gave us the same lukewarm plate. Overall, the atmosphere was okay, but their lack of awareness during a pandemic is ludicrous. Don’t visit this place during covid! Please wait until they’re back in full swing and this is all over. The experience will probably be better.
Can hardly put to words how good the food is here! Such a creative menu, perfectly executed.
What's not to like about MoPho. Clever title, delicious chicken vindaloo, friendly staff, a flavorful variety of asian fusion dishes that truly encapsulate what asian fusion is meant to be. And a good selection of cocktails and a unique addition of alcohol infused boba tea. And their pork belly bowl is excellent.
This is NOT pho... The beef “traditional” option on the menu is flavorless. The meatballs are simply ground beef shaped into balls. I know they could get the Asian ones from the market. It’s really a sad attempt all around. Go with another menu item if you stop in.
I visited this restaurant while going to a conference in New Orleans and I loved it! The pho tasted authentic with a modern twist. I ordered their chicken wings and it was delicious! The staff was friendly! I was alone and wanted a booth to myself, and they accommodated me well.I highly recommend this location to anyone who's looking for Vietnamese cuisine in the New Orleans area!
This place was OUTSTANDING. Me and my boyfriend had our last meal of our NOLA trip here and are so grateful. First of all, our server Michael was extremely knowledge, accommodating, friendly and passionate about food. We both have numerous food allergies and he triple checked everything and got dishes modified so we could have a great experience. The chicken vindaloo appetizer was INSANE. So good we got some to go. I had a pork pho special that was like 8 types of pork with vermicelli and a slow cooked broth that was richer than butter. My bf had the lemongrass sausage and it was on point. Excellent all around. Really unique and phenomenal menu. Nice decor too, and atmosphere especially considering it's in a strip mall. Really close to city park too. Can't wait to go back when we are in town.
Great location and amazing atmosphere. Expect to pay a pretty penny for you meal though. For 2 grown ups and 1 child's plate. Ended up spending $60 bucks 👎🏼. Had the Coconut Curry ($17), Tofu Poboy ($9), Thia Chili Chicken Wings ($12), Chicken and Rice Bowl ($9) and a "Beach Bum" drink ($6). Overall though, if you have time and willing to spend the amount, your like it here
Delicious take on Vietnamese food. The beef bone marrow was rich and tasty. Loved the lemongrass meatballs in my pho. The duck banh mi sandwich was great as well. Only issue we had was how long it took to get our meal, half hour! Otherwise great servers and delicious food as evident of the stream of people pouring into the small restaurant.
Quite possibly the worst Vietnamese food in New Orleans... try anywhere on the West Bank, or really anywhere but this disgustingness.
Get this place in your life! Absolutely. Fantastic menu.
